FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We try to anticipate questions you might have about our Nurse Aide Training Competency and Evaluation Program and provide the answers here. If you need additional information send email use rnassociates245@gmail.com.

Do I have to have my high school diploma/GED?

No. This program is actually offered in high school.

Is the only place I can get a job in long-term care?

You can become employed in multiple settings (home health care, private duty, hospitals, hospice, etc.) but the course is designed towards STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide) employment in long-term care.

What is the difference between a CNA and STNA?

PAY and education. A CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) has received limited education and evaluation of training. An STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide) has received training, education and evaluation under the direction of the Ohio Department of Health.

Is this program the same as those offered at local colleges?

The course is the same, just less expensive. The NATCEP (NURSE AIDE TRAINING COMPETENCY EVALUATION PROGRAM) is under the direction of the Ohio Department of Health. We must all follow the same minimal guidelines.
